March Madness: Speaker Jim HallihanApril 12, 2012 at 7–8:30 p.m.

Jim Hallihan will be speaking on the importance of applying the 6 Pillars of Character in order to achieve a meaningful life on and off the court. These 6 Pillars are: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, Citizenship. He will also attest that your success in life is determined by the impact you have on others, not by the amount of money you earn.

Jim Hallihan frequently travels around Iowa promoting the "Character Counts" as well as the Iowa Sports Foundation, where he is the former President. Jim attended Miami (Ohio) University, where he was captain of a NCAA tournament team. He also served on the coaching staff at Virginia Tech, East Tennessee State, and Iowa State University.
