Announcement: Letters for Continuing Faculty Sought

The following faculty members are being considered for either promotion to Senior Continuing status or third-year review of their continuing faculty status:

• Ngawang Gonsar, Biology (senior review)
• Larissa McConnell, Theatre and Dance (third-year review)
• Terena Wilkens, Theatre and Dance (third-year review)

Letters written on behalf of these candidates should address the criteria for promotion as stated in the Faculty Manual. The Kendall Center has provided a useful document with strategies for reducing implicit bias in recommendation letters; this will be a helpful reference in crafting letters on behalf of continuing faculty candidates.

Letters are due Monday, 23 September 2019, by 4:00 p.m. All members of the Gustavus community are invited to submit letters. Candidates will have access to their letters.

Please note: Letters should be addressed to Provost Brenda Kelly, but should be emailed directly to her assistant, Shanon Nowell (snowell@gustavus.edu). Acknowledgment will be sent upon receipt.
