Description
Charles Hendrickson, President of Hendrickson Organ Company, will discuss how the equal tempered scale, that is used in most western music, was developed. He will also discuss the evolution of musical instruments including the pipe organ. The talk will include demonstrations using a portable pipe organ, and will be of particular interest to students, faculty and others with an interest in music, history, math and physics. Refreshments will be served.
