Join us at 6:15-8:00PM in Alumni Hall on Friday, December 13th to celebrate KWANZAA! Keith A. Mayes, Professor from the African American & African Studies Department at the University of Minnesota will be speaking about the history, impact, and current culture of this holiday.
There will be a free meal provided before the speaker.
Many people ask, 'What is Kwanzaa?' This celebration is in honor of African heritage in African-American culture and is observed from December 26 to January 1. To learn more and experience the traditions of Kwanzaa, such as traditional songs and lighting of the candles, come join us! Sign up in the Diversity Center to guarantee your spot.
