Informal Workshop: A Complete SyllabusJanuary 25, 2011 at 3–5:30 p.m.
A syllabus is a valuable introduction to a class because it summarizes intended learning outcomes, provides a schedule of course topics & policies, and explains how student learning will be evaluated. As such, it is useful to periodically re-examine and revise our syllabi to reflect our student's needs, available services and changes in course content. This informal workshop for all faculty offers resources on developing a learner-centered syllabus, models of syllabi from faculty across the disciplines and space to work on syllabus revisions. Join us with a syllabus and a mug to talk with colleagues, revise one of your syllabi and enjoy some warm treats. Please direct questions to Margaret Bloch Qazi (mqazi@gac.edu).
Tuesday, 25 January from 3:00 pm " 5:30 pm " come when you can & leave when you must.
