Description
Hudson Bay Bound: Reflections on a canoe trip to Hudson Bay.
In 2011, Natalie Warren and Ann Raiho were the first women to canoe from Minneapolis to Hudson Bay following the route taken by Eric Severeid in 1930 and described in his book, Camping with the Cree. Natalie Warren will present her reflections on the trip, recounting what they observed along the way and lessons learned about life and pursuing one's dreams passionately. Since returning form Hudson Bay, Warren has founded Wild River Academy which connects high school girls with mentors via canoe trips. This event is co-sponsored by the Gustavus Environmental Studies Program, the Linnaeus Arboretum and the Johnson Center for Environmental Innovation.
