GReg UpdateApril 5, 2005All day
Description
Email from Dan -- It looks like the DHCP server on GReg died last night about 7:20pm or so. I found the config error and restarted it. Hope that does not happen again. Apparently someone was registered twice with the same IP or something.
After the server died, they needed to turn off the nessus scans, the scans for the windows patches last night, however they should be turned back on this morning.
Also people were getting admin violations if their IP contained 192. This is usually to block routers and people that are disabled that have IPs like 192.168 etc, but if their IP was 138.236.192.xx they were also receiving the notification and thus not allowing them to register. They have this fixed so only the IPs that start with 192 are receiving this violation.
