Description

Join us on a guided tour of the Granlund Sculptures around campus. Enjoy the beauty that surrounds our campus and see and learn about the seven different Granlund Sculptures that are positioned in different locations.

Paul T. Granlund, Gustavus class of 1952, served as the College's sculptor-in-residence from 1971-1996. He achieved national and international renown as artist and teacher in a career that spanned 50 years and his work is installed at sites around the world. He continued working out of his studio on campus until his death in 2003. Gustavus' part of his artistic legacy includes fifteen sculptures, five busts, five plaques, and the four Christ Chapel doors. Enjoy a guided walking tour of some of his works found on the Gustavus campus.
