Meet at Christ chapel to begin a guided walking tour of the Granlund Sculptures.
Paul T. Granlund '52 served as the College's sculptor-in-residence from 1971-1996. He achieved national and international renown as artist and teacher in a career that spanned 50 years and his work is installed at sites around the world. He continued working out of his studio on campus until his death in 2003. His artistic legacy includes several works sited on the Gustavus campus; fifteen sculptures, five busts, five plaques, and the four Christ Chapel doors. Enjoy a guided walking tour of some of his works found on the Gustavus campus. Guided tours available on Friday, May 25 at 1:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 26 at 3 p.m. Self-guided tour brochures are available at the registration desk.
