Welcome to the second film in the Global Insight film series.

Atanarjuat (The Fast Runner) from 2001 is a an Inuit legend of an evil spirit causing strife in a remote community in northern Canada. Filmed in the Inuit hamlet Igloolik in Nunavut, the most northern and largest territory of Canada in the language Inuktitut (English subtitles). The film will be introduced by Assistant Professor Se??n Easton, Department of Classics & Peace Studies Program, and there will be a brief discussion after the film.
