Festival of St. LuciaDecember 12, 2013 at 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Festival of Saint Lucia marks the beginning of the Christmas season in Swedish custom. The festival is celebrated annually at Gustavus with a chapel service featuring a court of five sophomore women chosen for their leadership, service to the College and others, charity, kindness, and thoughtfulness. A service is held in Christ Chapel at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Swedish Smorgasbord, sponsored by Gustavus Library Associates at 11:00 a.m. in Alumni Hall.
