Fast-a-thon Feast!February 20, 2020 at 6:30–7:30 p.m.

The Muslim Student Association and Multifaith Leadership Council are delighted to bring to Gustavus its first-ever Fast-a-thon! We invite participants to fast during the day (abstaining from whatever foods or beverages you choose) and join together for a free feast tonight! Over dinner, you will hear a panel of speakers discuss fasting as a ritual practice in their own religious traditions, and have a chance to discuss your own experiences with fasting.

We are also collecting money at the event.  Perhaps the money you save on that day's food, you could donate to Hikmah, a St. Peter commuity program for tutoring children in English and math.  We will accept cash, check, and Venmo.

The meal is mainly gluten-free, including vegetarian and halal chicken curry, rice, dates, and sweet breads traditionally used to end a fast in some religious traditions.
