Friday, October 10

8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Check-in
Information Desk, Campus Center
Pick up your event tickets, nametags, and any schedule updates for the weekend and get all of your questions answered. Don't miss this important step!

8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Class Visits
You are invited to attend various classes throughout the day and experience firsthand the academic programs offered by Gustavus. Check the Family Weekend web site for a list of open classes, pick up a list when you check-in, or request attendance in a specific class by having your student make arrangements in advance with the professor.

8 p.m. - 10 p.m. Movie: Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
Wallenberg Auditorium, Nobel Hall
Johnny Depp battles a band of cursed pirates in this great action adventure on the sea. The movie is free for Gustavus students and their families. Seats fill up fast! Rated PG-13.

Saturday, October 11

11 a.m. Parent Session 2 - Student Life

Talk with members of the Division of Student Affairs about your child's development during this time of growth and about the College's relationship with you as a parent.

1-3 p.m. Diversity Center Open House

Stop by for some snacks and learn how the Diversity Center serves your student and the College.

1:30 p.m. Prairie Dedication and Arboretum Tour
Begins at Lind Interpretive Center
Be part of the official Prairie Dedication and stay for a historical tour of the 1866-built Borgeson Family Log Cabin,. Linneas Arboretum tour by Jim Gilbert.

5:30 p.m. Family Weekend Banquet

Advanced tickets are needed for this limited-seating event. Prices will be listed in your brochure or reservation card. Dress is casual and serving begins promptly at 5:30.

6:30 - 7 p.m. State of the College Address

President and Mrs. Peterson will formally welcome you to campus. Find out the latest happenings and current state of affairs at Gustavus Adolphus College. You do not need to attend the banquet to attend the address.

7:30 p.m. Kevin Kling - One Man Show
Björling Recital Hall
Alumnus, playwright, actor and humorist. Prices will be listed in your brochure or reservation card.

8 p.m. Chicago Comedy Company

This ensemble of talented improvisers and actors promises clean, inclusive material and audience participation to get you laughing.

In support of the College's commitment to service, all are encourage to bring new or gently used baby board books through pre-kindergarten story books for the St. Peter Family Literacy Program.
