Description

"Curriculum integration" (CI) is a term that describes maximizing the synthesis between study away opportunities and the college curriculum in order to ensure that studying away 'works' for the broadest cross-section of students. It encompasses approaches such as targeted program (re)development, making existing opportunities (and specific sites' courses) more visible to students in particular fields of study, and pre-articulation of regularly offered courses for major and minor applicability. CICE will host a workshop for faculty members interested in thinking about curriculum integration for their own departments' majors and programs. The workshop will include a light lunch. Interested faculty members are asked to RSVP by April 13 to Rachel Sherman Johnson (rsherma2@gustavus.edu) with the subject line "CI Workshop RSVP." Details will be sent upon RSVP.
