Today at 7:00pm in Nobel Hall, Room 201, Dr. Katey Walter Anthony, Associate Professor of Water & Environment at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks will be presenting a talk titled "Permafrost Thaw and Methane Emissions From Arctic Lakes"
Katey is an aquatic ecologist and biogeochemist who studies greenhouse gas emissions from permafrost and thermokarst lakes in Alaska and Siberia. Her research has been featured by Nature, Science, National Geographic, The Tipping Points TV series, the New York Times, ScienceDaily, and many others. She is an enthusiastic field researcher and lover of outdoor adventure.
