Description
"The Importance of Family: German Ecuadorian Experiences During WWII" will be presented by Kimberly Contag (modern languages dept. at Minnesota State University Mankato). Contag will talk about the U.S.-led move to exchange Latin American citizens of Japanese, German, or Italian heritage as "bargain nationals" or of the U.S. practice of interning Latin American Germans in camps in the United States.
