Description
An Evening with Mike Lynch, a broadcast meteorologist at WCCO radio who has been teaching astronomy classes to the general public through community education and nature centers in Minnesota and western Wisconsin since 1973. There will be a 30 minute indoor orientation of the night sky with maps and constellation diagrams provided, and then participants will go outside and take in the celestial show. It's a great introduction to the world of stargazing. Mike Lynch's "Minnesota Star Watch: The Essential Guide to our Night Sky" will be available for purchase and autograph in the lobby of Olin Hall. Class will be held rain or shine. This event is a Gustavus Adolphus College continuing education program done in cooperation with the St. Peter Community and Family Education program.
