Description
This lecture is titled "The Holistic Approach to Medicine," presented by Bill D. Manahan, M.D. During the past decade, alternative medicine has gradually become integrated into Western medicine. Dr. Manahan will discuss what alternative medicine is and give examples of how people now routinely use alternative modalities such as acupuncture, herbs, homeopathy, and energetic and intuitive healing. He will also discuess manipulative medicine such as Rolfing, cranial-sacral and osteopathic treatments, and mind-body medicine. Discussion and a light supper will follow. Dr. Manahan previously practiced in Mankato, Boston, and at a squatter village clinic in Kenya.
