"Christianity & Judaism after the Holocaust", Exploring Religious Questions SeriesNovember 5, 2012 at 7–9 p.m.

Our 9th minicourse in the Exploring Religious Questions series will be offered in 5 sessions over 6 consecutive weeks, Oct. 8-Nov. 12, with additional times for the screening of 2 90-minute documentary films. Between 1941 and 1945, some 11 million civilians were systematically and deliberately killed by a modern Western nation. What went wrong? What are the ethical implications for persons living today? What can we learn from those who resisted? From the rescuers? What do the developments during this period mean for Jewish identity, Christian identity, and Jewish-Christian relations? Join us to explore questions going much deeper than "what happened?" as we learn of the significance of events of the Holocaust for today.

This adult education mini-course is open to the public. Cost for the course is $35/person; space is limited and it will be necessary to register in advance. We expect the course to sell out. No cost for Gustavus students and employees. This course will be taught by Dr. Darrell Jodock, Professor Emeritus and Bernhardson Distinguished Professor of Lutheran Studies.
