Celebration of Mexican Independence (1810-2010): "El Grito"September 15, 2010 at 8–10 p.m.
Description
The celebration will begin with the traditional ringing of the chapel bell and a reenactment of the "grito" (shout) of independence. There will be accompanying activities (songs, dancing, a display of Mexican national dress, etc.). Refreshments will be served. We hope to see you there and encourage you to wear any traditional Mexican attire (sombrero, skirt, etc) that you might have.
