Description
As of Tuesday, Sept. 2, Lund Center's new cardio-fitness center, which was under construction over the summer, is open. The cardio-fitness center features more than 40 pieces of equipment that may be used for personal workouts. In addition, users who have "walkman radios" will be able to tune in to any one of several television monitors that will show a variety of programs.
Because this new cardio-fitness center has largely been financed by Gustavus students, non-student users will be assessed an annual fee of $35 that applies only to the cardio-fitness center. Spouses and dependents between the ages of 16 and 22 will also be required to pay the annual fee. Community members must also have a current Lund Center membership. New community memberships to Lund have been discontinued. All non-student users will be required to wear a colored wrist band while using the cardio-fitness equipment as a means of identification.
Users may pick up a wrist band daily from the Red Desk personnel in Lund.
Hours of use will coincide with the schedule for open hours in Lund. Users may contact the Red Desk personnel for a current Lund Center schedule and/or to pay the cardio-fitness center annual fee. The phone number at the desk is 933-6660.
