Description

Camp Kendall: Writing to Learn in Gen Ed Courses

Writing helps us clarify and reflect on what we know, while helping us identify what we still need to know more about. How can we invite our students to use writing to learn in our general education courses? How might that work be more complicated today than it was ten years ago? Join facilitator Becky Fremo for a discussion of how to incorporate writing to learn into your general education courses. This workshop is recommended for anyone teaching an ARTSC, HBSI, HUMN, NTSCI, RSAP, or FTS course next year or anyone who wants to incorporate more writing to learn techniques in other courses. Breakfast and lunch provided. Monday, August 19 from 9 a.m. to noon in Anderson Hall, Room 304. Register here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Z1fwcpq4D1oIS5ry0cCUUlp-mml6dgdd2BwsUfigEp4/edit
