Description
An Artist Series Event:
Art Bridgman and Myrna Packer are known for breathtaking and catapulting partnering in dance. With raw physicality, deep sensuality, wicked humor, and dramatic overtones, their work has a physically and theatrically riveting edge. Jennifer Dunning of the New York Times writes, "Bridgman and Packer are among the leading practitioners of the art of the dance duet." Their work "soars with an intellectual richness that is truly extroardinary."
Accompanying the dancers is percussion virtuoso Glen Velez. Well-known for his work with the Paul Winter Consort, and for solo recordings, Velez has an extraordinary ability to make an instrument sing, whether it be a hand drum, or a simple bell.
