Ash Wednesday: Ashes to GoFebruary 22, 2023 at noon to 1 p.m.
Description
Ash Wednesday is a day of prayer and reflection for Christians that begins the church season of Lent. The day emphasizes confession, repentance, and returning to God. You may see people walking around with ashen crosses on their foreheads. Participants are marked with ash as a reminder of human fragility. The shape of the cross is a reminder of God's grace and mercy through it all.
Chaplain Maggie will be offering "ashes to go" outside of the caf in the campus center for those who are unable to attend a service or would like to recieve ashes in this way.
