What is a Swede?

Join the faculty of the Department of Scandinavian Studies as they share their views on Swedish identity. First, Helena Karlsson will offer some insights into the ongoing debate about cultural identity in Sweden today. Glenn Kranking will then take a historical perspective on questions of identity as they relate to contemporary Swedish society. To conclude, Kjerstin Moody will offer a few examples from Swedish literature, in which issues of cultural identity are contemplated.

The price of the Breakfast is $8.50, and reservation is by check made out to Gustavus Adolphus College and received by Thursday, December 9th, 2010.
