Celebrate the summer solstice at the Linnaeus Arboretum. Afternoon presentations by regional experts on Minnesota's grasslands, woodlands, and waters. Dinner featuring locally grown food and a keynote adress by naturalist Jim Gilbert who will lead a guided solstice stroll through the arboretum following dinner.

Featuring presentations from 1-5 p.m.

Grasslands: Dr. Pam Kittleson, professor, department of biology, environmental studies at Gustavus Adolphus College and Doug Mensing, senior ecologist at Applied Ecologial Services, Inc.

Waters: Steve Heiskary, research scientist, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and Carolyn Dindorf, limnologist and Vice President of Fortin Consulting.

Woodlands: Dr. Eli Sagor, sustainable forests education coorperative manager and associate extension professor at the University of Minnesota and Dr. Matt Russell, assistant professor in the department of forest resources and and an extension specialist at the University of Minnesota.

Ticket Cost:

  • $40 for non-members
  • $25 for current Linnaeus Arboretum members (become a member)
