Celebrate the summer solstice on June 20 from Noon to 7 p.m. at the Linnaeus Arboretum.Afternoon presentations by regional experts on Minnesota's grasslands, woodlands, and waters.Dinner featuring locally grown food and a keynote address by naturalist Jim Gilbert who will lead a guided solstice stroll through the Arboretum following dinner. Featured Presentations:

Grasslands: Dr. Pam Kittelson, professor, Department of Biology, Environmental Studies at Gustavus Adolphus College and Doug Mensing, senior ecologist at Applied Ecological Services, Inc.

Waters: Steve Heiskary, research scientist, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and Carolyn Dindorf, limnologist and vice president of Fortin Consulting.

Woodlands: Dr. Eli Sagor, sustainable forests education cooperative manager and associate extension professor at University of Minnesota and Dr. Matt Russell, assistant professor in the department of forest resources and an extension specialist at University of Minnesota.

Dinner presentation by Jim Gilbert, a phenologist, naturalist, consulting naturalist for WCCO Radio, co-author of the Minnesota Weatherguide Calendars, and author

Ticket cost:

$40 for non-members

$25 for current Linnaeus Arboretum members
