Paleoanthropologist Curtis Marean will present a public lecture: "The Cape Floral Kingdom, Shellfish, and Modern Human Origins: Trans-disciplinary Problems Require Trans-disciplinary Projects e/p>

Curtis Marean, Ph.D., is a noted research professor at the Institute of Human Origins, Arizona State University, Tempe. The Rydell Professorship is a residency program designed to bring Nobel laureates, Nobel Conference presenters, and similarly distinguished scholars to the campus as catalysts for enhanced learning and teaching. Marean is co-teaching a cultural anthropology course this spring with Gustavus anthropology and interdisciplinary studies professor Karen Larson.
