Assistant Women's Basketball Coach | Recruiting Coordinator in Athletics

Kelsey Letourneau has been an assistant coach with the Gustavus women’s basketball team since the 2018-19 season. A 2013 Gustavus graduate, Letourneau was a key contributor for the Gusties from 2009-13 appearing in 97 career games and starting 50, with the team making the MIAC playoffs all four years.

After leaving Gustavus, Letourneau got her master’s degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences at Ithaca College in New York. While obtaining her master’s, Letourneau was a graduate assistant women’s basketball coach at Ithaca and helped coach the team to two conference championships as well as two NCAA tournament appearances. While with Ithaca, some of Letourneau's responsibilities included: analyzing film and scouting opponents, assisting the head coach with recruiting, and helping design drills for team practices.

In 2015, Letourneau took an assistant women’s basketball coach at Cornell University assisting in duties such as recruiting, developing scouting reports, and overseeing student workers and managers. After onc season at Cornell, Letourneau worked as an assistant coach at Franklin & Marshall College from 2016-2018 where she helped with many duties such as designing practice drills, scouting opponents, and recruiting.

Kelsey and her husband, BJ, are expecting their first child in April of 2021.
