Associate Head Coach Women's Soccer in Athletics

Benton Frayne enters his third season as head coach Laura Burnett-Kurie’s lead assistant within the Gustavus Adolphus women’s soccer program.

A native of Albert Lea, Minnesota, Frayne completed his Bachelor of Science in recreation and tourism at Winona State University in the spring of 2009. Following his time at Winona State, Frayne was the assistant women’s soccer coach at Grinnell College in 2009, assistant girl’s soccer coach at Albert Lea High School from 2010-2011 and assistant girl’s soccer coach at Mankato East High School in 2012.

Frayne then jumped back into the collegiate coaching ranks when he became the Bethany Lutheran College assistant women’s soccer coach in 2013. In 2014, Frayne took on assistant coaching responsibilities for both the men and women’s teams at Bethany and earned a Master’s Degree in Sport Management from Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Frayne, who has also coached for several club teams, is currently the Director of Coaching for the Mankato United Soccer Club.  He holds his NSCAA Advanced national Diploma.  A 2013 MYSA OATHS award winner.
