Support Christmas in Christ Chapel

Help us broadcast the service to the world!

Gustavus is proud to present the third year of the live web broadcast of Christmas in Christ Chapel. This annual worship service has been a keystone event of the Gustavus community since 1973. What was once only experienced by audiences on campus can now be shared beyond the Hill with new technology. We have committed to raising $150,000 this year to broadcast Christmas in Christ Chapel to the world.

With the generous support of Heroic Productions, alumni Jon and Anita Thomsen Young '77, and numerous other Friends of Music donors, Christmas in Christ Chapel was broadcast live via web stream in 2014 and 2015. The broadcasts were well-received and allowed prospective students, parents, alumni, and friends to experience the production all around the world; over 5,600 households in 45 states and 25 countries viewed the live stream in 2015.

This broadcast opportunity affords the College the ability to share the music made at Gustavus and to reach out to the global community in new and exciting ways.

Your gift in support of the live web broadcast provides a number of benefits to the Gustavus community, including, but not limited to:

  • Performance experiences for students and faculty
  • Opportunity for cross-campus collaboration
  • Showcase for prospective students and parents
  • Web-based public relations and advertising opportunity
  • Bringing a beloved Gustavus tradition to thousands of our alumni and friends around the world.
  • The music-infused service provides an opportunity for students who participate and all who attend to learn new insights about the feast of the Nativity.
