Description

Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for our non-exempt (hourly) Custodian positions in the Custodial and Support Services Department.

Shifts Options (will discuss further if interviewed):

  1. Full-time, Monday-Friday from 5am-1pm - Benefits Eligible 
  2. Part-time Flexible Hours during the week between 5am-5pm, for up to 24 hours per week - Non-Benefits Eligible 
  3. Part-time, Weekends from 5am-1pm, work only 2-3 days each week (Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday) - Non-Benefits Eligible 
  4. Full-time, Night Shift w/ flexible start time (*Night Shift Pay Differential = Additional $1.25 per hour for any hours worked between 10pm-4am*):
    • Shift Options: 

      • Monday - Friday Shift
      • Tuesday - Saturday Shift
      • Wednesday - Sunday Shift

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Properly cleans and maintains multiple areas as assigned
  • Shampooing carpets, waxing floors, polishing glass, emptying trash, recycling, compost
  • Maintaining floors, cleaning wood, linoleum, tile, and other flooring types
  • Report’s maintenance concerns via work order request to appropriate personnel

Prerequisites

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for up to 8 hours per day
