Staghorn Fern (''Platycerium spp.'')
Polypodiaceae (Polypody Fern Family)
Despite this plant’s odd appearance it is a true fern. It is also an epiphyte. Staghorn ferns are native to tropical areas of South America, Africa, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Guinea. You may find fronds that have brown fuzzy tips, these are spores. The common name, staghorn fern, refers to the shape of the fronds.
