The Master of Athletic Training Program is excited to partner with a wide variety of clinical sites, experiences and preceptors in order to give our students comprehensive and unique hands-on experiences in healthcare and athletic training to best prepare them for autuonomous practice as a certified athletic training upon graduation. Below are a list of recent and current clinical partnerships. In addition to this list, students have the opportunity to work with the clinical education coordinator to identify and contract with new clinical sites anywhere in the country that would help the students achieve their future career goals.

Shakopee High School Athletic Training |
Partnered with St. Francis Regional Medical Center Rehab and Sports Medicine |
Preceptor: Ashley Qualley, MS, LAT, ATC Ashley is the athletic trainer for Shakopee High School and is employed through St Francis Rehab and Sports Medicine. She earned herBachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2018. Following graduation,Ashley stayed in Duluth to earn her Master of Science degree in Athletic Training in 2020 from the College of SaintScholastica. Ashleyenjoys working with the active population and athletes in the high school setting because she gets to work with athletes from all sports. She appreciates the unique roles athletic trainers play in their patients' lives including actingas first responders when an injury occurs,assisting them through the rehabilitation process, and celebrating with them as they return to their sport. All students complete clinical experiences in the clinic and surgical observations with Gustavus's Sports Medicins's team physician, Dr. Gary Fetzer. In addition, students may have experiences with a wide variety of TRIA providers across their many sports medicine departments |
