Co-Head Baseball Coach in Athletics

Jeff Baker, a native of St. Peter, Minnesota, assumed the role of assistant baseball coach at Gustavus Adolphus College in 2015 and was promoted to Co-Head Coach in 2016. He has now returned to the role of assistant coach. Baker is a 1982 graduate of Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he played infield for the Division I nationally-ranked Golden Eagles. He has enjoyed a long career in accounting, finance, and entrepreneurial pursuits.

Baker has coached many years of high school baseball and a number of highly competitive summer baseball programs. In addition, in 2002 he co-founded a baseball training facility in Ann Arbor, Michigan with former University of Michigan coach Chris Harrison, and former Minnesota Twins pitcher Geoff Zahn. Baker’s primary focus will be skill development of hitters and infielders.

“It is a privilege and blessing to return to St. Peter to coach baseball at Gustavus with my brother, Brad. We are focused on building a very successful baseball program at Gustavus. In that process, we are very excited to help our guys develop as baseball players, but more importantly, to develop as successful young men,” stated Baker.
