Majors Page
This page will contain a short "welcome" to the visitor as he or she enters this section of your portfolio. Explain briefly what the visitor will find in this section - examples of teaching resources that you have written throughout your college career. Explain why you are including the items; what you hope these items will say about you as a teacher; etc. This page should contain a professional background, an appropriate graphic, and a common navigation bar. Be sure to thank visitors for reviewing this section of the e-portfolio.
On this page, you will provide links to the following examples or sections of your e-portfolio:
- Culture Example: Evidence of how your teaching has been influenced by your knowledge and understanding of students from diverse cultures/races must be part of the e-portfolio.
- Disabilities Example: An example of an assignment that illustrates adaptation of instruction for students with disabilities must be included within the e-portfolio
- Lesson Plan: The Education Department requires that at least one complete lesson plan from your student teaching be included in the e-portfolio.
- Unit Plan: The Education Department requires that you include one unit plan somewhere within your portfolio. Ideally, this will be a unit plan you prepared and taught during student teaching. However, if your placement did not permit you to use a unit plan of your own, you can submit one that you have created for another course or clinical experience.
- ELL Example: An example of an assignment that illustrates adaptation of instruction for students who are English Language Learners must be included within the e-portfolio.
