News and Announcements
Parking Lot Closures This Weekend...The Lund Center parking lot will close at 2 a.m. on Friday, November 30, 2018 for Christmas in Christ Chapel. Employees may park their vehicles in any other green or red space on Friday. The lot will remain closed through Saturday, December 1, 2018.
The Norelius Visitor parking lot will close at 3 p.m. on Friday, November 30, and students from Building Bridges will be offering Valet Parking for Christmas in Christ Chapel on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday prior to event start times. Visitors may access valet parking at Three Flags circle during Christmas in Christ Chapel events or park in any Red or Green permit space between the hours of 7 a.m. and 2 a.m.
New Room Reservation System...The campus is moving to a new room request/reservation system, which is called ReServe. An important part of the new system is that all email correspondence about a room request will be managed within the system. Thus, emails about room reservations will come from @mail.reservecloud.com. We cannot change this to a Gustavus address. Some offices are starting to use the new system. Therefore, please trust and open emails from this address. For now, room requests should be made to the person in each building responsible for managing requests. This list can be found at gustavus.edu/events/reserve.
Reminder for Gustavus Employees with Medical Insurance...It's not too late to take advantage of the 2018 Wellbeing Rewards Program. All submissions are due on or before December 6, 2018 for reimbursement.
Click here to learn about the program. You may access the submission cover letter form here. Email Nicole Goebel or call ext. 6310 with questions.
The Holiday Angel Tree is Up...The annual Holiday Sharing Tree is located outside of the Community-Based Service and Learning (CBSL) office. Please stop by, pick up a tag, purchase the gift request by a youth (ages birth-12), and return it wrapped with the tag to the CBSL by Wednesday, December 12. Do your holiday shopping and make it a little brighter for a child in Saint Peter.
Risk Management Minute...Winter Wonderland Safety: Please make pedestrian safety a priority during the snow and ice season. Always wear proper footwear with good traction and look ahead at the walking surface. During snow events, keep your eyes and ears alert to what’s going on around you and put away the cell phone and earbuds. Use sidewalks that have already been cleared when available. If you are coming out from behind a snowbank, stop first and check to see if it is safe as you may be less visible because of snow piles or glare off of the snow. Know that vehicles have a harder time stopping on slippery surfaces. Stay away from roads and sidewalks when snow removal equipment is trying to clear the snow and as they treat the road and sidewalk surfaces. Be aware that snow removal equipment moves backwards, forwards and may turn sharply. Do not walk in front of or directly behind snow removal equipment! Make sure drivers see you by making eye contact and wait for them to pass before crossing. Contact Facilities Management (x7504) during the weekday or Campus Safety (x8888) 24/7 to report slippery areas or those areas that need to be cleared. Contact Campus Safety immediately if you may have been involved in a slip and fall injury.

Please note that your WebAdvisor password will now need to be refreshed annually. This new password will also need to conform to updated standards, so we encourage you to read the instructions thoroughly. If you encounter any issues accessing WebAdvisor, please use the “forgot my password” link to restart the process.Your WebAdvisor password is an important protective measure to ensure that your private information remains secure.
