Special Events Committee

The Special Events Committee is responsible for planning large-scale signature events. These types of events have included but are not limited to Homecoming, and President's Ball.

President's Ball is one of the top-student attended events of the whole year. This event was founded back in 1985 with the intent to provide a dance for students who weren't involved in a sorority or fraternity (because back then, dances were quite popular in the greek system). Today, President's Ball is held off campus in the Twin Cities and has been described as mix between a wedding reception and prom, featuring a catered meal, an address from Gustavus' president, Jack Ohle, and then plenty of time to dance the night away with your friends. In the past, it has featured a free photobooth for taking pictures with your friends.

In the past, Homecoming has consisted of a full week of events, including a full Organization Comptetion. As this year is our sesquicentennial year, CAB has decided to celebrate in style by reflecting the excitment in our Homecoming plans. We have some exciting things planned, so keep your eyes peeled!

If you would like to join this committee or have any suggestions to help CAB improve this portion of the on campus entertainment please e-mail Erika Clifton & Alexa Peterson.
