The Mentoring Program connects students on campus with members of the Gustavus alumni community. The Gusties Connect, powered by PeopleGrove, platform allows mentees to be matched with mentors and to connect/network with other alumni that are apart of the community.
To join the Gustavus Mentoring Community as either a mentor or mentee, register today. Registration for the 2024-2025 formal mentoring program will open August 1st, 2024, but remains open throughout the year.
The opportunity to develop a valuable relationship with Gustie alumni was a great experience and allowed me to grow as an individual both personally and professionally.

All current Gustavus students are eligible to participate in the program.
Mentoring pairs work together to:
- Assist in preparing students for the transition to professional life upon graduation
- Realization that many career paths are non-linear and encourage students to keep an open mind and explore varied possibilities
- Accept coaching to enhance and develop interpersonal, professional, and leadership skills
- Assist in building a professional network
The program runs mid-October - April. Mentoring pairs are expected to make contact at least once per month. Conversation starters will be provided to offer guidance on discussion topics.
Current Mentees and Mentors will be automatically re-enrolled each year.
All students are encouraged to experience the mentorship program!
There is no better way to be excited about the future than to see it in action. My opportunities to watch young Gusties in action have been invigorating, humbling, and joyful. I can't recommend it highly enough as a way to reconnect with campus.

** Students and alumni may register after the 15th but will not be part of the initial matching process.

October 28th and 30th, 2024 - Mentee Orientation (In-person)
** Required for all new mentees in the program.
November 14th 2024 - Mentoring Program Kickoff Event (6-7:30 pm Alumni Hall - Gustavus Campus)
