Gustavus Adolphus College (Saint Peter, Minn.), a nationally ranked liberal arts college, seeks applications and nominations for the position of Provost and Dean of the College. This position offers many compelling opportunities for a seasoned academic leader.

The Provost and Dean of the College shares responsibility for academic strategic planning and execution, serves on the President’s Cabinet, and acts as the primary liaison between the Cabinet and faculty. The Provost serves as the institution’s Chief Academic Officer and administrator-in-charge during a presidential absence. The Provost reports to the President and coordinates with the President’s Cabinet to advance institutional goals and objectives. She or he works with the Faculty Senate, Employee Compensation Committee, and the College’s Internal Budget Committee. The Provost also represents the academic program to both internal and external constituencies and collaborates with the Advancement Office to secure the resources needed to support the academic program. Lastly, the Provost has oversight of key academic elements such as Institutional Research, the Registrar’s Office, the Folke Bernadotte Memorial Library, and the Center for Academic Resources and Enhancement, among others.
