Nobel Conference Tickets...The 2018 Nobel Conference will be taking place on October 2 and 3. This year’s conference, Living Soil: A Universe Underfoot, invites participants to consider the vast diversity and complexity of soil, and to ponder the challenges we face in protecting this most fundamental resource. All employees and students may request a FREE ticket to attend. To learn more and to request a ticket, visit the online page or call 507-933-7520.
Christmas in Christ Chapel - Reservable seating...Christmas in Christ Chapel is happening November 30, December 1 and 2. There is an exciting, significant change in how tickets will be sold this year. New this year, guests will select specific reservable seats in Christ Chapel at the time of ticket purchase. There will no longer be general admission seating. Employees will continue to receive one free ticket. Tickets go on sale September 17. For more information, visit the Christmas in Christ Chapel website.
Attention Parents...There is an informal email list for Gustavus employees who are parents of young children to share information about schools and childcare, and to borrow equipment, among other things. Please email Yurie Hong if you or someone you know would like to be added to the list (or if you would like to be removed from it).
Parking Reminders...Please park according to permit color. Parking enforcement for the year has begun and citations for non-registered vehicles in red and green permit lots are now being issued. Vehicles parked without displaying a valid parking permit or in the wrong colored lot will be cited. Visitor parking is always closed to students and employees and is always enforced. Register in person in the Campus Safety office before parking your vehicle. Campus Safety is reachable 24 hours a day at 507-933-8888 if you have any parking questions.
Saint Peter Weekly Newsletter...As we continue to find ways to strengthen our partnership with the City of Saint Peter we would like to share this link to their weekly newsletter. Be sure to read it for the latest information about the greater Saint Peter community.

Seeking Volunteers...The Nicollet County Trails Association, a non-profit group that puts on the Mills Pond Haunted Hayride in Saint Peter each year, is looking for volunteers. They need people to be narrators on the Haunted Hayride wagons for five nights in October (October 18, 19, 20, 26, and 27). If you are part of a nonprofit club, the association will donate to your club as a thank-you for your help. Volunteers that are not narrating are welcome to scare in the woods at one of the over 25 different scenes or take on one of the other staff roles. If you have questions, contact the Nicollet County Trails Association at 507-327-6523..
"Plugs" is maintained as a forum by which members of the Gustavus community may offer goods and/or services to others in the community, or seek the same from them. It is not meant to accommodate ads or announcements from area businesses such as real estate agents or retailers, although from time to time such announcements may be published when deemed to be of particular interest to the community.
