ABSTRACT:
The Curtis Thorson collection includes letters by Thorson sent during his time serving overseas in World War II. This collection also contains an account of Thorson doing a gravity reading at Gustavus Adolphus College and further accounts of his work with the United States Coast and Geodetic Survey, written in 1984. Thorson and his brother Roger Thorson, who donated this collection, graduated from Gustavus in 1937 and 1950, respectively.
