ABSTRACT
:
The Launching of the S.S. Gustavus Victory collection contains a commemorative book and the bottle used to christen the ship.  The S.S. Gustavus Victory was built by Bethlehem – Fairfield Shipyard in Baltimore from May-July 1945.  The book holds photos of the launching, along with descriptions, statistics, and information on the building process of a naval ship.

There are some restrictions on use of this collection for research purposes, due to broken glass. The researcher assumes full responsibility for observing all copyright, property, and libel laws as they apply.

Researchers must use collection in accordance with the policies of the College Archives, the Folke Bernadotte Memorial Library, and Gustavus Adolphus College.
