MUGS 2022Midwest Undergraduate Geography Symposium
MUGS 2022 Conference Theme: Future Geographers and Geographies
Gustavus Adolphus College welcomes geographers from the region for an in-person celebration of the wonderful work undergraduate students are conducting across a wide range of topics and institutions. This year, the conference seeks to explore the future of geography and geographers. Given the multiple crises that afflict us all at varying degrees, it seems crucial that we create critical spaces of reflection to help us collectively imagine more just futures.
To that end, the conference will feature a panel with alumni where recent geography graduates will share what they have done with their geography degrees. This will potentially stimulate a conversation about the future of geographers and other geographies. In addition, we also welcome paper presentations and posters to highlight the amazing work you are all doing. All topics, not just those directly connected to the conference theme, are welcome.
Covid-19 precautions: Masking indoors will be required. Social distancing during lunch will be encouraged.
