The Gustavus Academy Hosts Cloud Cult7pm, June 27th, 2019

The Gustavus Academy for Faith, Science, and Ethics is proud to host Cloud Cult on June 27th, 2019. This years' Academy gives special attention to creative expression as a tool for climate advocacy and justice. We are inspired by Cloud Cult's use of the arts to promote earth care and how this value is reflected in the group's business practices. You can learn more about the artists here.

Tickets to Cloud Cult's Academy show are $35 and open to the public. The show will take place in Gustavus' beautiful Linneaus Arboretum on the south side of campus. Doors open at 5pm with local food trucks available for food. In case of rain, the concert will take place indoors at Bjorling Recital Hall, just a few steps away from the Arboretum.

What is the Gustavus Academy? The Gustavus Academy for Faith, Science, and Ethics is a two-week residential program to prepare high school students to be leaders in their communities while building creative alliances between religion and science to ethically address contemporary challenges. This year's Academy will focus on modeling a just response to climate change and will bring together scientists, theologians, activists, and artists to explore the topic with selected fellows. 

Where is the show located? The show will take place on the campus of Gustavus Adolphus College in the beautiful Linneaus Arboretum. The Arboretum is on the south side of campus and can be easily accessed from Jefferson Avenue and South Entrance Drive. The show will take place in the green space near the Interpretive Center. Ample parking is available on site. All campus lots will be availble for concert parking. 

What is seating like at the venue? Seating is general admission. Attendees may wish to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. 

What if it rains? Production staff will make a decision about inclement weather 24 hours before the show. A weather annoucement will be made on this page and Facebook. In case of bad weather, the show will take place indoors at the Bjorling Recital Hall, just a few steps away from the Arboretum. 

Are concessions available? Local food trucks will be available at the venue beginning at 5pm. Show atendees are welcome to bring water and non-alcoholic beverages. Bags will be checked.
