All the Gustavus Honor Band students are expected to arrive at 3:45 p.m. sharp on Sunday, November 3rd.
Please park in Lots D or E (next to the Arboretum Interpretative Center), and proceed across to Christ Chapel, where you will meet your Gustavus Music Student Hosts.
While Gustavus does not charge a fee for the Honor Band experience, students will need to pay for the following meals: Sunday supper (Gustavus Market Place), Monday breakfast, Monday supper. Gustavus will provide Monday lunch at no charge to all honor band students.
There are two housing choices for your students for Sunday night, November 3rd:
- They may be housed on campus in a residence hall room with our music students serving as hosts (no housing cost), or
- You may choose to have them housed in a local motel in the Saint Peter Area
We desire that all Gustavus Honor Band Students stay in residence all rooms with Gustavus Music Students. This is a very important part of the Honor Band experience. Please strongly encourage your students to stay Sunday night on campus with our students. The Honor Band students will need to bring a sleeping bag and pillow and a sleeping pad, plus other needs for an overnight stay (toiletries, etc.). Of course, they will also need to bring appropriate concert attire for the Monday performance. Remember to bring a pencil for rehearsal marking purposes.
