Walktober: Walking TacosOctober 3 at 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

The GustieWELL and Peer Assistants invite you to join Walktober, for an opportunity to win either two (2) Vikings tickets OR a $200 Bookmark Gift Card.

Walktober was created to draw attention to the benefits physical activity has on mood and mental health, encouraging fresh air, movement, and connection.

Stress and anxiety are top academic impediments for our students (NCHA, 2021), and while studies show brief physical activity can help to alleviate those symptoms along with improving memory, sleep and mood, it's often the first thing cut when schedules get busy. 

Walktober Events are listed below, and more information will be sent out each week with more details about the event. 

• Thursday, 10/3- Walking Tacos 
  • Eckman Mall at 11:30am-12:30pm
• Thursday, 10/10- Picture Scavenger Hunt
  • Stop by the GustieWELL anytime between 8:30am-4:30pm for the QR code
  • 5 locations!
• Thursday, 10/17- Breast Cancer Awareness Walk
  • Stop by the GustieWELL anytime between 8:30am-4:30pm to grab a pink flag, walk to our designated outdoor location, and put your flag in the ground to show solidarity and support for those affected by breast cancer.
• Thursday, 10/31- Trick or Treat
  • Eckman Mall Trick or Treating with various DLC organizations!
