Description
As a prelude to the 49th Nobel Conference, "The Universe At Its Limits", Rydell Professor S. James Gates will be on campus to deliver a talk titled "Symmetry and the Quincunx Nexus". This presentation will explore symmetry in nature and how theoretical physicists make use of symmetry to understand our universe. Dr. Gates' residency this fall is made possible by the Rydell Distinguished Professorship funded by the Drs. Robert E. and Susan T. Rydell.
