Announcement: Letters for Promotion Candidates Sought

The following member of the faculty is currently being considered for promotion to full professor:

• Margaret Bloch Qazi, Biology

Letters written on behalf of this candidate should address the criteria for promotion as stated in the Faculty Manual. The Kendall Center has provided a useful document with strategies for reducing implicit bias in recommendation letters; this will be a helpful reference in crafting letters on behalf of promotion candidates.

Letters are due Monday, February 15, 2021, at 4:00 p.m. All members of the Gustavus community are invited to submit letters. The candidate will have access to their letters.

Please note: Letters should be addressed to Provost Brenda Kelly, but should be emailed directly to her assistant, Shanon Nowell (snowell@gustavus.edu). Acknowledgment will be sent upon receipt.
