Description

Indigenous Peoples' Day Smudging Ceremony - Monday, October 14, 2024 - 8:50 a.m.

Meet at Three Flags and our group will walk down the hill to the new Telescope area.  At 9 a.m., Joe Whitehawk, Dakota Elder-in-Residence, will lead us in this sacred Indigenous cultural practice that involves burning sacred herbs to cleanse and connect with the spirit and Creator.  The purpose of this ritual is to cleanse, purify, and bless the earth, as well as heal, protect and restore balance. Everyone is welcome.
